Molecular laboratory

  • As a partner laboratory of the Food and Drug Organization and the Standard Administration, our  laboratory is capable of identifying transgenic products originating from corn, canola, soy and rice, and has equipment such as PCR Real Time and...

What is a genetically modified product?
Organisms whose genetic material has been purposefully changed are called Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO). At present, a wide variety of plants have undergone changes in one or more genes in order to improve their specific characteristics, such as more production, resistance to adverse environmental conditions, toxins and pesticides, or in other words, they are transgenic.
